Let’s not jump off the Perea train just yet he has not played much this year. He only started one game and played 4 minutes in another prior to last night.
That's true. But I feel like we can see as of right now why he isn't getting minutes. Hopefully he pushes for more minutes. Competition in the squad is good.
He did have a shot on target in the game though. Nice strike.
Domenic the reason he doesn’t get minutes is because he backs up Bedoya who we know rarely gets sub.. same scenario as Mc Glynn last year .. practice is practice not same as game speed .. he is young he needs to play more
Oh I agree. I think Jim's recent comments show that he needs and understands that the full roster needs to be utilized. Seems like as of now Bueno is that Bedoya sub around the 75th minute. We will see if that continues though.
Obviously the Martinez injury sub may change that a little bit and the U-20s leaving.
Ok, that was frustrating. Again. Interested to hear your thoughts on Jim’s contract. Starting to see more and more “Curtin Out” comments from fans. Why do you think the Union front office haven’t re-signed Jim yet? Are they actually considering letting him walk? Do they think he can’t get the team over the finish line? It’s weird how no one is really talking about the fact that Jim is on his last year of his contract and he still hasn’t gotten an extension.
I think it would be more worrisome if it extended into August/September and lingers over a potential playoff run. I wouldn't be surprised if everything was on hold for a bit while the U.S. Soccer coaching situation figures itself out. That's a fair way for both sides to handle it.
Really liked Bueno's play tonight. Perea was invisible the whole time he was on the field. Between Quinn and Donovan I think they have a combined 1G and 1A throughout all play this year. We need better production from our "3rd" striker. I agree this summer is a top, top priority.
I thought Torres struggled until Gazdag came into the game. Torres as the 10 just wasn't working, which is probably in part because none of those guys have played together consistently this year.
Yeah everyone looked disoriented in the first half because of all the changes. You can tell Bueno is playing with confidence right now. Real was decent, he didn't do anything wrong. And I would like to see the dual 10s at some point, maybe with a 3-man back line and a lone striker? But I think the crazier tactical experiments will happen once there is stability in the MLS standings.

Match showed why Bedoya doesn't get subbed out, Perea was invisible.
Yeah, When Martinez comes back I'd like Bueno for Bedoya sub more often.

Real looked decent on the defensive end as well.

Yeah. Torres looks a little lost by himself.
Yeah. At some point I want to see Lowe, Elliot, and Glenses on the pitch together.
