This just feels like a season where they are going to fall short, again and again. At this point, I have some of the fatalism of Red Sox nation prior to 2004. Seeing will be believing.
Anyway, the #9 seed is an awful thing to shoot for. Just making the playoffs isn't much for this club to shoot for after the past few years. Honestly I'm fine with the Union missing, so long as significant offseason changes then follow.
Similarly, I don’t mind them missing the Champions Cup next year. We can focus on a strong start to the MLS season and have fewer matches out of the gate.
Jim should have spent more time with a serious lineup .. leaving out Sullivan & Harriel is inexcusable. This organization is just not serious about winning.

The line up seemed suggest looking ahead to CLB but why? It will be a long wait until next season.
