Union Soccer Blog Subscription Plan
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has subscribed to Union Soccer Blog in the first month of its existence.
The goal of preseason and Week 1 coverage was to show you what to expect throughout the season before opening up your wallets and paying for a subscription.
The primary goal of coverage in 2023 is to cover the Philadelphia Union like no one has before. Essentially like covering an NFL team with the amount of care and detail.
The subscriptions will help me dedicate time to a lot of these in-detail pieces, like the ones you read after Saturday night’s opening match.
There is a plan to travel with the team as much as possible in the second half of the season. Subscriptions will help pay for trips across the Eastern Conference.
The goal is to be at every match within driving distance of the Philadelphia area, and to be present for most of the road games from August on.
I opened up the Substack to subscriptions today, with the prices being $5/month and $40/year.
I absolutely get that as a soccer fan in the United States you are already paying a ton to watch soccer and read other sites. I thought this was the fairest pricing on my end for the amount of content coming your way this season.
I’m honestly floored and so appreciative of the support I’ve already received with the Substack.
I can’t wait to go on this journey of a season with everyone, and hopefully there are plenty of fun stories to tell along the way.
