The Union defeated Minnesota United, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon with a trademark home performance.
CHESTER — The quintessential Philadelphia Union performance was on display on Saturday afternoon.
The Union produced one goal in each half, held Minnesota United scoreless and gave up few threatening chances from the visiting Loons.
“A 2-0, clean sheet at home is what we’re about,” Union head coach Jim Curtin said.
Of course, every matchup provides its different challenges, and that was the case with Minnesota, but the Union played to their strengths and earned a boring, but efficient victory.
