Quinn Sullivan Back In Midfield Looking to Make Late-Season Impact
The Homegrown Player made an instant impact back in midfield on Wednesday night.
CHESTER — Quinn Sullivan. Late season X-factor.
Wednesday’s performance from the Philadelphia Union Homegrown Player had the feel of the start of something special down the stretch.
Sullivan has always been stuck in a weird spot on the Union roster. The club asked him to join the forward depth chart in preseason to help with the depth in that area of the park.
In the last few weeks, Sullivan shifted back to a more natural midfield position.
“As a player, you always hope to be the X-factor and score goals, have assists and make big plays,” Sullivan said on Friday. “I did that two nights ago and that felt really good. All the feedback was positive from pretty much everyone.”
He was brought on in the right-sided role in the 4-4-2 diamond on Wednesday night and all he did was score a goal and help set up the game-tying penalty kick.
