The Philadelphia Union produced a positive performance in their return to Major League Soccer play on Saturday.

The road win over D.C. United moved the Union up to second place in the Eastern Conference.

Second place is the key position we should be talking about from now until the end of the regular season.

Sure, another trophy in the form of the Supporters’ Shield should still be the internal goal, but the bare minimum expectation for the final 10 games is to lock up as many home playoff games as possible with the No. 2 seed.
