The Philadelphia Union are back in the Eastern Conference playoff spots after yet another triumph in the New York area with a 5-1 win over New York City FC.
It was one of the rare games where the Union needed to score five to feel comfortable about a victory.
“A really gutsy performance from the guys, missing some key players due to suspension and injury. The guys had the next-man-up mentality and I thought performed really well,” Union manager Jim Curtin said.
