Philadelphia Union Pick Up Another Road Win, Move Into Playoff Position

The Union romped New York City FC to move up to ninth place in the East.

The Philadelphia Union are back in the Eastern Conference playoff spots after yet another triumph in the New York area with a 5-1 win over New York City FC.

It was one of the rare games where the Union needed to score five to feel comfortable about a victory.

“A really gutsy performance from the guys, missing some key players due to suspension and injury. The guys had the next-man-up mentality and I thought performed really well,” Union manager Jim Curtin said.
