Philadelphia Union Looked Like Themselves in 4-2 Win Over Toronto FC
Mikael Uhre's hat-trick powered the Union past Toronto FC.
CHESTER — The Philadelphia Union looked like themselves again on Saturday night.
The version of the team we expected to see from the start of the Major League Soccer campaign pounced on Toronto FC from the start inside Subaru Park.
The Union had the match wrapped by halftime thanks to an own goal and two tallies from Mikael Uhre, who went on to score a third in the second half.
It was the perfect performance at the perfect time with the Concacaf Champions League on the horizon.
“I thought we played our best 45 minutes of the season in that first half. We looked like us,” Union manager Jim Curtin said.
“I think we came out looking more like ourselves today than maybe the entire season,” Uhre said.
