Philadelphia Union Enter Key Stretch With Home Clash Against Real Salt Lake
The Union play six of their next nine games at home and need to stack up points before the international windows open up in the summer.
The Philadelphia Union’s Saturday clash with Real Salt Lake starts an important stretch of the Major League Soccer season for the club.
The Union play six of their next nine games inside Subaru Park and need to stack up points while the full squad is in place.
Union manager Jim Curtin warned in preseason about all of the players who will be missing from mid-June on due to the Copa America, Euros and Olympics.
Andre Blake, Damion Lowe, Jose Martinez, Jesus Bueno, Daniel Gazdag, Jack McGlynn, Nathan Harriel and Quinn Sullivan could all be out on international duty in the summer.
“Six of our next nine games are at home,” Curtin said in his Friday press conference. “I think we should have everybody for those nine games. It’s no secret to success in this league. You have to win your home games. We have a really good opportunity in front of us.”
