The Philadelphia Union used two goals in three minutes to rally for a much-needed momentum boost in Major League Soccer play.
The Philadelphia Union needed a disastrous own goal to wake them up from a slumber on Saturday night in Chicago.
The Union went down two goals in the 47th minute, when Jakob Glesnes knocked a clearance off Nathan Harriel and into Andre Blake’s net.
At that point, Union manager Jim Curtin could have readied the subs off his bench and protected some of his star players for next week with a loss on the cards against the Chicago Fire.
Instead, we finally got a glimmer of the Union from years past in Major League Soccer play in 2023.
