Nathan Harriel's Defensive Versatility Has Been Important Lately For Philadelphia Union
The 21-year-old defender has been asked to play in three different spots in the last month due to injuries and formational changes.
CHESTER — Philadelphia Union defender Nathan Harriel has had one of the more challenging last few weeks of play.
The Homegrown defender was asked to play in two spots outside of his normal right-back position.
Harriel lined up as a left-back in the Concacaf Champions League quarterfinal first leg and then he played as one of three center-backs in the team’s 5-3-2 formation against FC Cincinnati.
