Julian Carranza and the Art of the Ruthless Striker
The 23-year-old Argentinian bagged two more goals for the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night.
CHESTER — The Philadelphia Union have never had a player like Julian Carranza.
The 23-year-old Argentinian displayed his ruthlessness in front of goal yet again on Saturday night, as he deposited his eighth and ninth goals of the 2023 Major League Soccer season into the back of the net.
But what makes Carranza different from any striker the Union have ever rostered is the response to his overall performance against CF Montreal.
“I’m more frustrated of course because every single strike you want to score. We want to score as many goals as we can,” Carranza said.
“It was an easy game to score at least three or four goals, and at the end, I’m frustrated because I missed a couple clear chances, but okay we won, that’s the important thing and we keep going,” the striker continued.
