The Union were outplayed from the start in their Leagues Cup semifinal loss to Inter Miami.
CHESTER — The Philadelphia Union’s Leagues Cup semifinal against Inter Miami started with a round of boos for Lionel Messi.
Before the final whistle, the Union were greeted with their own set of raucous boos from the sold out crowd inside Subaru Park.
Philadelphia was left with another sinking feeling after a big match concluded.
It’s one thing for a let down to happen in one big game, but now this is a trend and one you could fear the Union never get out of.
“We got punished by a good team,” Union manager Jim Curtin said. “We got humbled.”
