Ernst Tanner Provides Updates On Loaned Out Philadelphia Union Players
The Union sporting director had praise for Andres Perea and Richard Odada's time on loan so far. He also commented on the future of two Homegrown players.
CHESTER — The Philadelphia Union’s transfer business has come under more scrutiny in the last 12 months than any part of sporting director Ernst Tanner’s time at the club.
Tanner’s success rate with low-or-no-cost transfers is still remarkably high, but there have been more misses recently that have affected the Union’s roster build.
Midfielders Richard Odada and Andres Perea are out on loan, as is Homegrown center back Brandan Craig. Offseason acquisition Joaquin Torres has not been able to break into the lineup on a consistent basis.
Tanner provided an update on all of those players during a wide-ranging interview on Friday afternoon at Subaru Park.
