David Vazquez Signs Homegrown Deal with Philadelphia Union
The heralded 18-year-old attacked inked officially inked a first-team deal on Monday.
The Philadelphia Union signed 18-year-old David Vazquez to a Homegrown Player contract on Monday.
The United States youth international was on the Union II roster, but the coaching staff saw enough out of him to sign a first-team deal now.
“David Vazquez is one of the top talents from our academy,” Union head coach Jim Curtin said on Monday. “He’s worked really hard in his time here. He’s won things here. He’s an example of a kid who’s gone from the academy to briefly playing games with the second team to the first team.
