Alejandro Bedoya on the Preseason Start Under Bradley Carnell
The Union midfielder has seen plenty of positives out of the first team through the first half of preseason.
CHESTER — Alejandro Bedoya and his Philadelphia Union teammates are adjusting to the first preseason under new manager Bradley Carnell.
While there is the obvious change in system and methodology to deal with, Bedoya seemed happy with where the Union are at.
He spoke to the Union Soccer Blog on Friday in between the team’s preseason training trips to Marbella, Spain and Clearwater, Florida.
“I think the transition has been well taken by the group,” Bedoya said. “’(Carnell)’s come in and put his imprint on the team. It’s been only been two weeks, right? But what I appreciated from the group in the first game, we only trained three times before that, but you could see we were able to match Slavia’s physicality and intensity, which are two of the hallmarks of Bradley’s system of play.”
